"New Renaissance" is a large-scale land art project by Ukrainian artist and sculptor Mykyta Zigura, implemented in Italy in the summer of 2026 as part of his famous "Peaceful Sky" series.

The project addresses the legacy of the Italian Renaissance, when European thought proclaimed man, his freedom, and creativity as the highest value (humanism). Protesting against the realities of today, which many thinkers call the “new Middle Ages” due to fear, fanaticism, and fragmentation, Mykyta Zigura, through the combination of two symbols, raises the question of a way out of the current existential crisis.

The alternative to war as the universal language of history should be a genuine, not a declarative, new humanism, where human life and nature are of unconditional value. The “Peaceful Sky” series has previously been presented by other resonant projects in France, Denmark, and Ukraine.
